     The mission of the Harrison County Homemaker Agency is to provide support services to individuals which will allow them to stay in their own home, thus preventing inappropriate and expensive institutional care.

Staff Members

Kathy Baer RN, Program Director

Kathy has been the program director for Harrison County Homemaker Agency since 2006, but has worked for Harrison County since 2005.
She assists county residents with Homemaker Service, Home Health Aid (HHA) and transportation.

Elaine Jensen, Office Manager

Elaine has been at Harrison County Homemaker Agency since 2002.
She processes billing, assists with incoming calls, assists the program director and other staff members.

Services provided by the Homemaker Agency



Do you or someone you know need some assistance to remain in your own home?

The programs and services offered by the Harrison County Homemaker Agency can assist families with live-in family members as-well-as provide the necessary support to keep individuals in their own home and out of the nursing home or other care facility.

All residents of Harrison County are eligible to receive the services offered by the Homemaker Agency if they demonstrate a definite need for care. The Homemaker programs serve individuals who fall below social security guidelines for income.

The Home Care Aide and In Home Health programs are Physician ordered, supervised by the Program Director and Harrison County Public Health, and funded primarily by either Medicare, Medicaid, and Private Insurance.  Contact Kathy Baer or Elaine Jensen for more details on these programs.

The Private Duty Program serves individuals who have the financial means to pay for home care services. It's focus is customer service and customer satisfaction.

The Harrison County Homemaker Agency can provide service under waivers such as Homemaking, transportation, shopping, meal safety and preparation, and laundary. Clients who don't qualify for waiver service may find assistance under the In Home Health program.

Home Care Aide Services

Under the supervision of the Program Director and Harrison County Public Health, Home Care Aide services are provided when ordered by a physician.
